JON GOLD JOINED AIRSHOW in July 2011 from Taos, NM, where he ran Dead Horse Studio. With several decades of engineering experience, Jon is a respected talent in the region, with many New Mexico Music Awards for song writing, engineering, and production. His skill with genres from folk and country, rock, Americana, and blues makes him a great addition to Airshow’s engineer roster.
A musician since the age of eight, Jon grew up inspired by Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles. Performing professionally for four decades with bands in a variety of styles gives Jon a unique talent when combined with his engineering prowess. He’s worked with artists of the Southwest US such as Robert Mirabal, Little Le Roy and the Blue Reys, Vivian Thompson, and Michael Hearne, and companies including NPR and NBC Universal.
