Designing your project for duplication in the DISC KITCHEN
Our CD duplication services includes color printing directly to the face
of your CD. We use a high-quality matte silver printable disc and a 600 dpi
inkjet printer.
For printing stickers, inserts and traycards, we use a 1200 X 1200 resolution
laser printer, inserts and traycards are 100# bright white stock.
People create their CD artwork using many different types of software.
We have created these guidelines because they will give us and you
the best results. Please follow them.
Your design will be printed using a CMYK process. Images and/or colors in
your file should be in CMYK mode.
The graphic file may be saved as a Quark 4, Photoshop (non-compressed), or
Adobe Illustrator 5 file with all graphics, photos and fonts included in your
folder.
You may prefer, as we do, that you send your design as high-resolution (600dpi or
1200dpi) TIFF or EPS
so that you do not need to include the graphics or fonts.
For conventional inserts you should save each panel of your design as a separate file.
When we receive
your files, we import each panel into a page layout document, position it exactly
and convert it to a PDF file for printing. Because the laser printer's
paper handling is not exact, it is very important that you maintain 1/8-1/4'"
margin inside the trim area, and 1/4" bleed area outside the trim area.
See the color key on each template that follows.
Graphics files can be given to us on a MAC or PC CD or zip and must be accompanied
by a proof for all panels. Do not send film.
If you want us to make corrections or changes to your file, you will be billed at
$60/hour.
Please send
your graphic files and your master CD together.
